Safety SignALERT™ is the unique, convenient Highway Emergency Safety Sign for motorists, offering the protection of higher visibility than was ever before available for an automotive emergency.

Safety SignALERT™ was developed as a consumer alternative to the familiar triangle known as the Warning Device carried by trucks and buses.

Safety SignALERT™ retains the essential design features of the Warning Device triangle in the Code of Federal Regulations, taking advantage of its instant recognition. It duplicates the dimensions and colors of the truckers' triangles by the application of red reflective and yellow-orange fluorescent strips on a single sheet of heavy duty banner grade Tyvek, now sold as Ty-cote.

The open sheet is 17 3/4" x 20". A solid white reflective triangle at the center provides additional visibility. Tyvek/Ty-cote also has high visibility. The sheet is scored into ten slats, enabling the sign to be folded like a map into 3 3/4" x 10" package for convenient storage in the glove compartment. Fourteen vents are stamped out along the scored lines. These elements are strategically placed by computer design.

The materials are weather resistant and suitable for outdoor use. On the reverse side of the sign are four flexible magnets, allowing the sign to be placed anywhere on a vehicle. Conformance to the shape of the automobile adds stability. Safety SignALERT is protected by two U.S. patents™
